After September 11, 2001, when I was working at the Tampa Tribune, the reporters and other staff were experiencing an onslaught of breaking news to cover. Their stress levels and emotional distress were through the roof and they began to cry out for help. As the Training Manager, I felt completely inadequate to help them and decided to do something about it. So, I embarked on what became a 15-year quest to become qualified to help others deal with their stress management and wellness. I became a certified instructor of Primordial Sound Meditation through the Chopra Center. I also became certified to teach a course on Mindful Eating and to work with nurses on dealing with Compassion Fatigue (while working at the Moffitt Cancer Center). Based on all the studying, reading, and research I did, I wrote these four articles about managing stress and finding peace in your life and relationships. I hope you find them helpful! Enjoy!
