- Archetypes are patterns of thought and behavior that endure over long periods of time and transcend cultures. They exist in what Carl Jung called the Collective Unconscious (ancestral memories and experiences common to all humanity and stored in our unconscious minds), and they influence our actions and reactions.
- Every woman carries these seven Goddess Archetypes (also called energies or symbols) inside her, with one or two being more prevalent than others during certain phases of her life. The Goddesses illustrate the complex behavioral patterns of femininity, and the many ways it can be expressed.
- These Archetypes help us understand who we are or might become, who we don’t want to be, and how to use who we are for good purposes.
- Though all women share these universal feminine characteristics and experiences, it is important to note that each individual woman is unique!
- You are part of the divine feminine and it’s important that you and everyone can recognize that. Let us celebrate our similarities, and at the same time, gain a level of understanding and appreciation for our differences.

Seven Goddess Archetypes
Appendix
After conducting extensive research to find goddesses from five different cultures’ mythological beliefs that were equivalent to the Seven Goddess Archetypes, I asked ChatGPT artificial intelligence to create an analysis of the goddesses within each archetype. This analysis validated that the five goddesses in each archetype group did indeed have a close equivalency. The cultures I studied were Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Hindu/Indian, and Celtic. I also asked the tool to provide a deeper dive into their personalities and characteristics.
